Product Description

Typhoon-Proof Workshop — 200 km/h Wind Resistance for Hurricane-Prone Coastal Zones

Engineered for Philippines, Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico, South China Sea, and Cyclone-Region Industrial Projects

Conventional steel buildings often fail at cladding connections and bracing under extreme wind events. This typhoon-proof steel structure workshop is wind-tunnel validated and structurally designed to withstand sustained wind speeds of 200 km/h (55 m/s, Category 4 hurricane equivalent) with enhanced connection detailing at every critical load path.

Wind Resistance Engineering

  • Aerodynamic Roof Profile: Optimized roof pitch (5-10°) with reinforced eave and ridge connections to minimize wind uplift suction forces
  • Cladding Fastener Pattern: Increased screw density at roof perimeter and corner zones per wind uplift pressure zoning maps
  • Portal Frame Bracing: Dual-direction rod bracing system with turnbuckle tension adjustment for positive lateral restraint
  • Column Base Connection: Oversized base plates with 8-12 anchor bolts per column, designed for moment resistance under wind overturning
  • Roll-Up Door Reinforcement: Wind-lock equipped industrial doors with reinforced guide rails and storm bars

Design wind loads are calculated per ASCE 7, EN 1991-1-4, or AS/NZS 1170.2 based on project location. The building envelope remains water-tight under simultaneous wind-driven rain conditions.
