Steel Structure Cattle Shed Application

2026-04-20
Case Detail
Project: Large-Scale Livestock Farm Steel Cattle Shed Construction
Location: Cordoba, Argentina
Year: 2024
Client: Argentina Agricultural Development Co., Ltd.
Scope: Design, supply and installation of 3 sets of steel structure cattle sheds, serving 500 dairy cows in total, covering an area of 2,800 square meters.
Challenge
The client needed a durable, easy-to-maintain cattle shed that could adapt to Argentina’s temperate climate with abundant rainfall and mild winters. The traditional brick-and-concrete cattle sheds had poor ventilation, were prone to moisture and mold, and took a long time to construct, failing to meet the client’s demand for rapid expansion of the breeding scale. As a major livestock producing country, Argentina has a large demand for high-quality livestock breeding facilities, and our steel structure cattle sheds perfectly meet this demand.
Solution
We provided a customized steel structure cattle shed solution, featuring light steel frames for the main structure, combined with color steel sandwich panels for walls and roofs.
- The steel frame was made of high-strength Q235 steel, ensuring stability and load-bearing capacity.
- The roof and walls adopted thermal insulation and waterproof sandwich panels, effectively keeping warm in winter and cool in summer, and preventing moisture accumulation.
- Built-in ventilation windows and drainage systems were designed to improve air circulation and avoid waterlogging in the shed.
Execution
The steel components were prefabricated in the workshop, transported to the site for assembly, which greatly shortened the construction period. The entire project was completed in 4 weeks, much faster than traditional construction methods.
Outcome
The steel structure cattle sheds have been in stable use for nearly a year. They have excellent ventilation and moisture-proof performance, reducing the incidence of cow diseases. The steel structure is corrosion-resistant and easy to maintain, with low long-term operation costs. The client’s breeding efficiency has been significantly improved, and the solution has been highly recognized by local agricultural departments.
